Day 1 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Transfer to Arusha National Park (2 hours drive)
You will be picked by our driver guide around town or Kilimanjaro Airport and after you will be driven to Arusha National Park. The Park covers Mount Meru in north eastern Tanzania with spectacular landscapes in three distinct areas. It has rich ecosystem ranging from Meru Crater funnels and the Jekukumia River. The afternoon will be for sightseeing and game drive where you will be able to spot elephants, hippos, buffaloes and very many antelopes. Overnight at Hatari Lodge Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Arusha National Park – Tarangire National Park (4.5 hours drive)
Drive to Tarangire National Park which is known for its wonderful birding centre and also features large numbers of game, particularly during the dry season. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. Upon arrival check-in and have lunch. The afternoon will be spent on Game drive and the driver guide will spot various animals including waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog. Overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Full day Game drive at Tarangire National Park
Have a morning guide drive and then head for the full day of morning and afternoon game drive. It will reward you with good sites and treasures of Tarangire with very many species of mammals like waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Day 4: Tarangire National Park – Lake Natron (5 hours drive)
Morning breakfast, then later drive to Lake Natron. It is located in the northern Tanzania closer to the Kenyan boundary. The Lake sits below Ol Doinyo Lengai, a soaring active volcano in the Rift Valley. Trails lead from the lake to the Engero Sero waterfalls. So the afternoon you will be guided to visit the water falls. Later drive to the lake shore for a walk. Overnight at Lake Natron Camp Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Visit Mount Oldonyo lengai
After breakfast early in the morning your driver will take you to the foot of mount Oldonyolengai for climbing. At around 10.00hrs you will descend down and get in a car for a drive to the lodge for early lunch and resting. Overnight at Lake Natron Camp Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6: Lake Natron – Ngorongoro Conservation Area (4.5 hours drive)
Have breakfast in the morning then drive to Ngorongoro through Mto wa Mbu which is Swahili phrase meaning Mosquito River. The park plains support the existence of the BIG 5 mammals, vast volcanic Ngorongoro crater and huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Enroute game drive to your accommodation and later in the evening head for game drive where the guide will spot for the BIG 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino) with many other animal species. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House / similar Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 7 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area
With picnic lunches descend down the crater for a full day tour. Early in the evening ascend out and proceed to the crater rim. The crater hosts over 25,000 large mammals. You will spot the BIG 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino), also various animals like Black spotted Hyenas, zebras, Elands, Gazelles, Elephants, and many small animals like Kobs, Antelopes, Jackals, Hippos and others. Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park
Morning breakfast, then drive to Serengeti National Park. The park is located in the northern parts of Tanzania and it is well known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains. Many cross the marshy western corridor’s crocodile-infested Grumeti River. Arrive in time for lunch and later the evening will be for game drive in this world’s famous national park which supports every variety of animals. So you will spot the lion, leopard, cheetah, Buffaloes, Rhinos, elephants, spotted hyena and many other animals. Overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa Lodge/similar. Day 9 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Serengeti National Park Game drive
Early morning and late afternoon game drives in the vast park with option for a near full day of game viewing. Serengeti, derived from the name “Siringet” which means endless plains in Masai Language hosts the Great Plains where the endless streams of wildebeest and zebra pour south towards Ngorongoro or north towards the Masai Mara during their annual migration. The park is home to the BIG 5 and other species including Hyenas, Cheetahs, Caracals, Serval Cats and several bovine species. It is also home to hundreds of bird species including vultures. Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Lake Manyara National Park (4 hours drive)
After your delicious breakfast, Morning game drives still in Serengeti NP and proceeds to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park It offers unique wilderness experience and rich ecosystem such as the Rift Valley Soda Lake, open grasslands, dense woodlands and stunning mountainsides which favours the stay of a thousand animal species which inhabit this Park. The evening game drive will be for the most famous highlight which the tree is climbing Lions which are so often on acacia branch trees. Keep your eyes on the trees. You also spot elephants, Giraffe, Hippo, Buffalo, Zebra, White Rhino, and Black Rhino. It also inhabits thousand of flamingoes and other 400 species of birds which inhabit this park. Day 11 of the 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari: Full day game drive at Lake Manyara National Park
Full day of morning and afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara. You will again spot elephants, Giraffe, Hippo, Buffalo, Zebra, White Rhino, and Black Rhino. With flamingoes and many other birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge/similar. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 12: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport (2 hours drive) and end of 12 Days Around Tanzania Wildlife Safari
Morning breakfasts, then leave for Arusha then proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on your flight schedule back home. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
