This 2 Days Akagera National Park Tour is for exploring Akagera National Park. It is the only Savannah National Park which Rwanda the country of a thousand hills is blessed with. You will see a lot including the BIG 5 (Lions, elephants, buffaloes, Leopards and Rhinos) among other in only 2 days to Akagera. Freshen your mind by taking a boat cruise on Lake Ihema.

2 Days Akagera National Park Tour

Day 1: Kigali City – Akagera National Park (2hours drive)

Drive to Akagera National Park, the only savannah national park in Rwanda located in the eastern parts of the country sharing borders with Tanzania. It has rich ecosystems including woodland, swamps, and low mountains which are favorable for various animals. Have a brief game drive on your arrival and after lunch, you will be driven to Lake Ihema located in the southern parts of the park for your afternoon boat cruise. You will be able to see a school of hippos, crocodiles and also buffaloes and elephants on the lake shores. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge or Ruzizi Tented Camp Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and transfer to Kigali (2 hours drive)

With a cup of coffee in the morning get ready for the morning game drive. The park consists of over 13,000 mammals including 520 species of birds making it a birding spot. The guide will help you spot the BIG 5 including Elephants, Buffaloes, Lion, Leopard and Rhinos also not forgetting the several antelopes which inhabit this National Park. You Depart along with the packed lunch and after your game drive, you will be driven back to Kigali city. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
