This 3 days Kibale and Semuliki national park tour will take you to Kibale Forest National Park and Semuliki National Park via Fort portal town. Fort portal is famously known for all time cool weather, beautiful tea plantations, it is surrounded by over 50 crater lakes, and with clear views of the Mountain Rwenzori ranges. It’s also the entry to most tourists’ attraction in the western Uganda. 3 Days Kibale and Semuliki National Park Tour

Day 1 of the 3 days Kibale and Semuliki national park tour: Kampala – Fort portal town (6 hours drive)

The driver/ guide picks you up early in the morning after your breakfast and head to Fort Portal town west of Kampala at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains offering the great views of the Mountain. Have a lunch break before you either visit the Amaberega Nyinamwiru Cave (popularly known as the Nyakasura falls) to see the 3 crater lakes and water falls. Or visit the Tooro Kingdom which got into limelight when the present king was crowned at age of three.  Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel/ Fort Motel or a Similar lodge, Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2 of the 3 days Kibale and Semuliki national park tour: Semuliki National Park Nature walk and Sempaya Hot spring visit.

Drive through the north of Rwenzori Mountains. The view of meandering Semuliki River, Lamia River and great Ituri forest which boarders Uganda and Democratic Republic of the Congo, is so grand with a big Sempaya hot spring. The park is home to over 400 recoded bird species making it a sanctuary for bird lovers, it’s a home to forest elephants and buffalo. The other attractions in this park are the pygmy village, primates like the grey cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus, dents mona monkeys, vervet, de Brazza monkeys, potto and bushbaby etc and the Sempaya hot springs. You will need climbing boots or rubber boots to have this memorable visit in Semuliki. Afternoon will be for visiting the pygmy village of Batwa near the Semuliki National Park. They will tell you how they used to live before being relocated from the forest and present their traditional dance. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel/ Fort Motel or a Similar lodge, Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Kibale Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kampala (6 hours drive)

Kibale forest National Park is one of the biggest forests in Uganda with more than 1,000 chimpanzees and 13 species of primate. You will be driven to Kyanyanchu UWA headquarters for briefing before you are assigned a ranger guide to start your Chimpanzee trekking at 8:00am. Enjoy seeing the closest creatures to human beings and it will take half day enjoying this adventurous activity. It is also an opportunity of seeing other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. Later you will be driven back to Kampala or Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight back home. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
