You will connect to the Ugandan side to participate in your long waited Gorilla trekking safari to see the rare Mountain Gorilla Safari and half of its population is hosted in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve (6 hours drive)
You will be picked from your place of residence or hotel in Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara National reserve which is located in the south western parts of Kenya and the reserve borders Tanzania forming Serengeti National in the Tanzanian side. It has rich ecosystem with preserved Savannah wilderness and the wildebeest traverse its plains during the annual migration. Upon your arrival in the afternoon, you will be served lunch and the evening will be spent on game drive in search of the BIG 5 (Elephants, Lions, Leopard, Buffaloes, and Rhinos with several other animals including Impalas, Gazelles, Wildebeests, Hyenas, Topis, Zebras, Giraffes and hundreds of bird species. Day 2 of the 6 Days Masai Mara and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari: Masai Mara Game Drive
Have early morning breakfast ready for the morning and late afternoon game drive. The reserve hosts over 450 species of mammals and over 500 species of birds. So the whole day will be spent in viewing the BIG 5 (Elephants, Lions, Leopard, Buffaloes, and Rhino) Also other animal species like Impalas, Gazelles, Wildebeests, Hyenas, Topis, Zebras, Giraffes and hundreds of bird species. The annual Wildebeests Migration from Serengeti to Masai Mara also takes place here between July and October when millions of Wildebeests and Zebrasclosely trailed by the Big Cats cross the Mara River and roam the reserve’s vast plains in search of greener pastures. Day 3 of the 6 Days Masai Mara and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari: Masai Mara – Entebbe airport – Kampala
Breakfast will be served at your camp. Check out by 07:30 hrs and drive back to Nairobi. If time permits, we do a short en route game drive. You will en route lunch followed by transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport depending on time for your evening flight to Entebbe. On arrival at Entebbe International Airportyou will be transferred to Kampala for Dinner and overnight at Latitude 0 Degree Kampala /Speke Resort and Conference Centre/ Mestil Hotel Kampala/ Speke Hotel/ Dolphine Suites/ Bushpig Backpackers Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (10 hours drive)
The driver guide picks you up early in the morning for the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover at Equator for photos and Mbarara for Lunch with Igongo cultural Museum visit. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is famous for its Mountain Gorillas. It has rich ecosystem comprising of 95 species of mammal and 345 species of bird. As you arrive in the evening time and checking in at your lodge, rest visualizing your long waited encounter with the mountain Gorillas. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge or Similar accommodation depending on gorilla permits allocation and availability. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5 of the 6 Days Masai Mara and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Leave your room and drive to UWA briefing point ready for the Gorilla trek starting at 8:00am. This great ape is endangered and only 1,063 individuals remained in the whole world. Bwindi is a home for its ¾ world population. It takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas from the previous day trek. Remember to carry the rain jacket, drinking water, jungle boots and your packed lunch and every moment of the Gorilla trekking is unique and amazing as you watch them playing, eating, coupling, and the youngsters swinging on the tree branches. This is a lifetime experience and incomparable with any other East African adventure. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge or Similar accommodation depending on gorilla permits allocation and availability. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Kampala/Entebbe (10 hours drive)
Drive to Kampala then Entebbe airport, having a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and also at the Equator for photos. Proceed to Kampala or Entebbe for your onward evening flight back home. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch
